A Season for Giving

It’s officially the season for giving! Even though CCF advocates this mindset all year, we’re hoping the holiday season will get everyone in the spirit and create fond memories for those in need. One great way is by donating a new, unwrapped toy to Toys for Tots. Sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, Toys for Tots is an annual tradition throughout all the Carrington offices. Each year we’re continually humbled and amazed by our generous Carrington Associates who want to help a disadvantaged child. Donation boxes will be available until mid-December, so hit the stores and find some good toys for girls and boys who might not otherwise get one over the holidays.

In addition to Toys for Tots, please consider looking in your own communities for volunteer and giving opportunities. Many local organizations, community centers and churches have holiday charity drives that collect toys, clothes and other goods. Reach out to your community leaders to learn more about these needs and how you can contribute. And remember, if money is tight, you can always give your time. Many organizations can be short-handed this time of year, so helping out can be equally as valuable as providing donations.
