Carrington Helps Stamp Out Hunger
It’s almost time to take part in the 25th annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Launched in 1994 by the National Association of Letter Carriers , the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive was established to collect food for those in need. This year, the food drive takes place on Saturday, May 13. Read more here.
There are many ways you can participate in this year’s food drive. One way is to leave a bag or box of non-perishable items at your mailbox on Saturday, May 13, for your letter carrier to collect. If you’d like to go the extra mile, host a food drive with other Associates or your neighbors. Encourage everyone to bring an item (or two, or three) to contribute to a community box you can then donate to letter carriers. And you can also make a donation online at givehealthy.org.
Remember, this is the time of year when food banks start to run low on supplies – so please give if you can. And send us photos of your donation – especially if you organize a group effort. Because we are focusing on health and wellness this month, please try to give healthy, nutritional food. Let’s make a difference in the community, and help those in need!
