CCF Luncheon Celebrates Volunteers

September 07, 2016

On Friday, August 19th, 40 Carrington Associates who have previously volunteered for CCF events joined together with the CCF Board for a luncheon at Pirozzi in Corona Del Mar, CA. Attendees had the opportunity to make pizza with acclaimed chef Allessandro Pirozzi, who is himself a staunch supporter of CCF. As he feels passionately about giving back to the community, Chef Pirozzi was pleased to host Carrington and celebrate our volunteer successes to date.

And oh, what successes they are! Since August 2015, Carrington Associates have donated a total of 555.5 volunteer hours to CCF – with an amazing 475 of those hours since January of this year. That time has been dedicated to so many wonderful organizations, causes and events, including time spent at the Someone Cares Soup Kitchen, donating goods and packing them up for Boxes for our Troops, supporting the athletes participating in the Special Olympics, helping out during the Day of Service on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, supporting Autism Awareness and more.

During the luncheon, which CCF hopes to make an annual event, CCF Board members expressed their heartfelt thanks to the volunteers for the time and effort they’ve dedicated to the organization and its initiatives. Five lucky men and five lucky women were gifted with door prizes. “We are so grateful to all of the Carrington Charitable Foundation volunteers,” said Rosemary Rose, Chair of the Carrington Charitable Foundation. “They have given their time, energy and heart to help so many people in need in their local communities.”

Thank you, wonderful Carrington Associates, for all you do!
