December Volunteer Opportunities

December 04, 2016

We’d like to highlight two extraordinary volunteer opportunities for our Associates this month!

As showcased in previous newsletters, Wreaths Across America is the nonprofit organization dedicated to placing a wreath on the gravesites of our country’s fallen military. They received many Carrington donations during November, but the organization has a special need for volunteers to participate in their wreath-laying ceremonies. On Saturday, Dec. 17, ceremonies will take place at more than 1,100 cemeteries across the entire country – including Arlington National Cemetery. To volunteer your time in wreath placement, click here to find a cemetery near you.

The second volunteer opportunity arrives just in time for Christmas for our Associates in Southern California. Many Associates already volunteer with the Someone Cares Soup Kitchen in Costa Mesa. But Someone Cares has a special need for volunteers to help with holiday meals for the community on Saturday, Dec. 24. We hope you’ll consider spending some valuable time – and bringing your friends and family along – at this beloved community event that feeds so many in need. It’s the perfect way to spend Christmas Eve!
