Jacksonville Associates Serve it Up
On Tuesday, April 4, 2017, Jacksonville Associate volunteers put their hearts, hands and heads together at the Clara White Mission, to serve a hot breakfast to the area disadvantaged. What a great idea to also incorporate this worthy cause as a Sales team building exercise as well.
With their passion and excitement for serving others, this hard-working team spent their Tuesday doing something special for others. The smiles and appreciation on the hungry folks who showed up was enough to make it all worth it.
“The people who were there for a hot meal were really from all walks of life,” said Elizabeth “Liz” Porter, a Carrington Loan Officer. “We hustled the food out, and every time I placed a plate of food in front of someone, I felt so fortunate that I am where I am today, and in a position where I can do something.” Elizabeth added that although in the big scheme of things she wasn’t really doing a lot, it was still so rewarding to see all the gratitude.
”Another fantastic showing of support,” said Jawana Thomas, VP, Regional Operations Center. “Many thanks go to everyone − especially the new faces that joined for the first time. We also want to thank department directors for supporting our efforts with the Clara White Mission. Together we all make a difference!”
