March Madness Brackets for a Cause

We have a lot of basketball fans here at Carrington who are looking forward to March Madness, the annual basketball tournament where 68 college teams battle it out to win the national championship. But we want to introduce you to a new March Madness initiative, done CCF-style!

We’re calling ours March Madness Brackets for a Cause. Here’s how it works:

• Go to the link for our March Madness donation site.
• Donate just $5 through March 9 at 5 p.m. PST
• You’ll receive an invitation to create a bracket in the CCF March Madness Group. Only brackets created in that group are eligible to win.

Each participant creates a bracket predicting how they think the tournament will go, and which teams will win and advance to the next rounds. The winner will be chosen on the basis of their bracket being most accurate. If your bracket wins, you get to decide which 501c3 registered nonprofit receives the money raised. And both the winner and the runner up also get an Apple Watch!

What inspired this initiative?

“We thought this would be a fun way to incorporate charitable giving with this well-loved college basketball tradition,” says Shelly Lawrence, CCF’s Executive Director of Community Relations. “It’s an easy way to get involved. Watch the games, and keep an eye on your bracket, you never know what can happen during March Madness!”
