Military Awareness Month

Welcome to the second CCF newsletter for July! As you all know, we’re in the midst of Military Awareness Month, and we wanted to remind you about one of the most important initiatives we’re taking on with this charitable theme – Boxes for our Troops.

In past years, CCF has sent care packages overseas with the help of AnySoldier.com, an organization that has sent care packages to more than two-million active troops worldwide. The organization has also lent its support to wounded marines, Afghani children in need of medical care, and helped donate medical supplies and textbooks in Iraq.

This year we want to make sure Boxes for Troops makes a personal difference: If you have a friend or family member currently serving abroad in our armed forces, let us know, so we can send a care package their way.

In 2013, the Carrington family of companies collectively sent 100 boxes to our troops through AnySoldier, and in 2015 we shipped over 240 boxes! Items included in those boxes include toiletries, non-perishable food items and snacks, sports items and financial donations for volunteers to shop for supplies. Others went the extra mile and included notes of appreciation and thank you cards to share how much our troops’ dedicated service means to those of us back here at home.

Remember, you only have until the end of the month to donate or help out at your local Carrington office to put together care packages to donate to Boxes for our Troops! Packing parties will be held soon in each Carrington location. Everyone who participates in our Boxes for our Troops drive will receive a certificate of appreciation from CCF.
