Military Awareness Month

In the wake of a wonderful Fourth of July weekend, we’re proud to bring you this month’s charitable initiative: Military Awareness Month. The fearless men and women of the military do so much to keep America safe and free, dedicating themselves to serving our country. This month we’re honoring their tireless efforts, sending support and showing our appreciation for all the hard work that they do for us as they defend the freedoms we enjoy.

We plan to honor our veterans through the Green Light a Vet Event, where replacing a white light bulb with a green one lets our vets know how much we care. Another powerful initiative this month is Boxes for our Troops, a program that sends care packages to our active military. Donate non-perishable food items, socks, notepads, pencils and anything else that you think would be nice to receive in a care package from home – something that lets our troops know how much we’re thinking of them. Or donate money to CCF to purchase the goods needed to fill each box. You can always help us pack the boxes, as each Carrington location will have a packing party at the end of July. It’s a wonderful way to support our military overseas while they’re supporting us back home!
