Plano Associates Leave a Big Footprint with Christmas Cops

At our Plano, Texas office, Carrington Associates banded together in an extra special cause over the holidays: Christmas Cops. The Christmas Cops program was created by the Plano Police Department to help local families in need during the holidays. These families, who are known by or recommended to Plano Police, have experienced a variety of unforeseen hardships that have challenged their efforts to participate in the joys of holiday gift giving.

And that’s where the community comes in. In support of the initiative, local businesses often offer donation boxes to collect everything from food and toys to clothing and household items. The boxes are picked up before the holidays and the items are distributed to numerous families.

On the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 14, Christmas Cops police officers stopped by our Plano office, where they were blown away by what they saw. Associates donated mountain bikes, biking helmets, HD cameras, warm bedding and more. The excited officers said they couldn’t wait to share the gifts with children who may not have otherwise had a merry Christmas.

“Carrington has always been a very charitable organization,” said Glenda Shelby, Plano’s Senior Human Resource Generalist. “When we were deciding who to sponsor this holiday season, we wanted to make sure we made a difference in the local families that live here in Plano – and that’s why we chose Christmas Cops.”

We are so grateful for our Plano Associates for giving so much to this wonderful cause – and we know their community appreciated it! Thanks to these Associates, many families were able to enjoy a wonderful holiday season despite their hardships.
