Carrington House Helps Veterans Come Home
It has been a busy start to the year at The Carrington Charitable Foundation, and we wanted to give you an update. The Carrington Charitable Foundation continues to focus on providing housing assistance to our wounded military heroes of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts through a new program, Carrington House – Home Modification & Construction Program. With the support of The Carrington Companies’ subsidiaries and our generous donors, this program will independently build homes across the United States and provide all support necessary to restore the feeling of comfort and independence for our wounded military heroes who have returned home.
By partnering with the Carrington Development Company, Carrington House will deliver customized support for each veteran’s unique needs, with projects ranging from repairs, renovations, rebuilds and new construction of homes. All of the money raised under Carrington House is allocated directly toward the development of specially adapted homes, each designed for the specific needs of each family and Veteran in a location of their choice.
The Carrington Companies and the Carrington Charitable Foundation have ended the collaboration with the Gary Sinise Foundation. Carrington House is now an independent program with a new logo and enhanced and independent ability to directly help our wounded heroes using the resources which are generously provided by The Carrington Companies and our donor base.
The Carrington Charitable Foundation would like to thank all of our supporters for the donations and resources to help our wounded heroes. Together, we can do so much to ensure our wounded heroes have the support necessary to restore freedom and live comfortably as they begin the next step in their journey.
Under the new Carrington House Program, we currently have the following projects in process:
David Glenn and Family, NC
Scott and Tiffany Smiley, WA
Watch for near term announcements regarding our next two projects.
