Support the “Stroll & Roll” Walk for AbilityFirst

On April 18th, 2015 Carrington Associate Gina Moreno will be participating in the Ability First “Stroll & Roll” Walk at the Universal Studios Backlot in California. Through 25 locations across Southern California, AbilityFirst provides programs for adults and children with disabilities and special needs services to help participants reach their full potential throughout their lives. They offer a broad range of employment, recreational and socialization special needs programs and operate 12 accessible residential housing complexes.

“This charity is very dear to my family’s heart,” shares Gina. “My sister Denise’s son, Jacob, who is also my Godson, was born with Down Syndrome. In addition to the challenges his Down Syndrome brings, Jacob also has Type 1 Diabetes, Sleep Apnea and requires the use of hearing aids. A combination of all of these illnesses would make an after school program impossible for Jacob, but Ability First has gone above and beyond in providing Jacob with programs that assist with developing skills he can use to be a successful member of society.”
