The Bobby Farmer Family Home

Carrington House, has been hard at work building homes for wounded Veterans who have dedicated themselves to securing our country’s freedom and safety. We’d like to introduce you to the latest beneficiary of Carrington House’s efforts, U.S. Army Veteran Bobby Farmer.

Retired U.S. Army Special Forces Master Sergeant Bobby Farmer has been in service for 22 years, and was first injured in 2003. Since then, the Farmer family has lived in a home that was, unfortunately, left unfinished by a previous contractor, so Carrington House stepped in to complete the repairs and renovations designed to meet Bobby’s needs.

Since taking the project on, representatives from Carrington House met with Bobby to discuss the work that needs to be done, and to do a final walkthrough of the home in its current state. Some of that work includes repairing the front entry gate, fixing irrigation issues in the front yard and installing a trench drain to help with flooding issues. They will also be installing cabinetry and a backup generator, as well as re-tiling a walk-in shower in the master bedroom. As of now, the Farmers and their new contractors are selecting materials and pouring over the final cabinet designs and their new kitchen layouts.

The Farmer family is looking forward to the repairs being completed – and they’re eager to see their home finished. But we’re pleased to report that they’re happy with the progress thus far, and appreciative of the support they’ve received from Carrington House and CCF.
