Carrington Charitable Foundation's Holiday Drives

Throughout the holiday season, Carrington Associates have once again demonstrated a commitment to serving our communities. This year, we helped to spread the holiday cheer by providing support for a range of drives organized by The Carrington Charitable Foundation. Most notable and common across most of our Carrington offices were toy drives benefitting Toys for Tots.

In late November, CCF proudly supported CASA “Court Appointed Special Advocates” Orange County through its CASA Snowflakes Drive in our Anaheim and Aliso Viejo offices. The children of CASA Orange County are some of the county’s most severely abused, abandoned and neglected children who have been placed in foster care for their own protection. All 250 snowflakes – which represented a gift on each foster child’s holiday wish list – sold out in less than one day, ensuring that hundreds of foster children in the area had a happy holiday indeed!

The CASA Snowflakes Drive was followed-up by the nationally focused Toys for Tots drive; a program spearheaded by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve designed to help make the holidays wonderful and inspiring for millions of less fortunate children. In support of the drive to donate new, unwrapped toys at each Carrington location, we’re proud to say that our offices donated more toys this season than ever before!

Across the country, the Carrington offices reported a total of seven full boxes of toys donated to Toys for Tots, in addition to three bikes donated in Jacksonville.

“It is so nice to be able to give back to those in need during the holiday season,” says Shelly Rose, Director of Community Relations for CCF. “We are so fortunate to have what we do, but it makes it even better when we can share our fortune with those around us. Following the words of Winston Churchill, ‘We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.’”

Helping those in need this holiday season has been a rewarding experience and something we won’t soon forget. Though the holidays may be over, the spirit of giving remains strong through CCF and our Carrington Family of Companies. Let’s aim to make the new year our most generous charitable year yet, and make 2016 an even more fortunate year for those in need!
