CCF Flies Vets to 2014 Boston Marathon
Carrington’s flight crew transported Veterans to Boston to participate in the 118th Boston Marathon on April 21st. A momentous day for many reasons, this year’s marathon marked the one year anniversary of the tragic 2013 Boston Marathon bombings which killed three and wounded more than 260. But in a race already marked by American determination and resiliency, Meb Keflezighi, the first American man to win the marathon since 1983, won the race with a time of 2:08:37.
CCF flew Veterans John Masson and Ben Maenza, along with their supporters, to Boston to participate in this momentous race. Upon their arrival the Veterans were greeted by a crowd of police officers, firemen, and other members of military.
The day was a huge success and CCF is glad to have been able to not only support our Veterans, but to also support each and every individual who took part in this historic race.
