CCF Sends Hope by the Bunch to Cancer Patients

Give Daffodil. Give Hope.

As we have in the past, Carrington Charitable Foundation supported the American Cancer Society’s “Daffodil Days” again this year, a program that helps fight cancer by raising funds to save lives and give hope to those affected. With the heartfelt support of Carrington associates across the country and a generous match of $5,000 from CCF, we raised a total of $11,980, which will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

CCF generously gave “Gifts of Hope” to cancer patients in hospitals, providing cheerful bunches of daffodils in an effort to plant hope and inspiration to combat the disease. With all proceeds directed to treatment and research for all types of cancer, other Carrington Associates donated stuffed bears to lift the spirits of children with the disease or made contributions to fund research opportunities in their communities.

“I would like to thank the CCF Board for supporting a cause that has touched so many lives. As a breast cancer survivor, I personally have been a recipient of daffodils and it turned a dark day into a day of sunshine,” shares Tami O’Neill, CCF Advisory Committee Chair Emeritus.

“I would like to thank everyone who donated to give cancer patients a brighter spring season and raise their spirits with daffodil gifts,” shares Rosemary Rose, Chairman of the Board. “CCF is delighted to provide a $5,000 match to our Associates’ fundraising efforts, and we are proud that our total donation of over $11,000 will make an impact on cancer research for a world without this disease.”

Daffodils and stuffed bear gifts are expected to be delivered in mid-March to cancer patients and to Associates who opted to receive daffodils as a “thank you” for their donation.

“We couldn’t have done this without the support of the Carrington associates, the CCF Advisory Committee Members in each of the Carrington offices and the CCF Board. Without all of your generosity and assistance, none of this would have been possible,” shares Matthew March, CCF Advisory Committee Chair.
