CCF Volunteer With Relay for Life

Carrington Charitable Foundation volunteers assisted the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event on Saturday, August 10th in Stanton, California. Carrington Associates Roxanne Garza, Cynthia Travis, Jose Beltran, Shirley Best, Mario Ramos, Diane Mitchell, Carolyn Knickerbocker, Jason Benike and Rosita Wong helped out with registration, set-up, and other general activities to make the event a success.

Each year, more than 4 million people in over 20 countries raise much-needed funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay for Life movement. The event is an organized, overnight community fundraising walk where teams camp out around a track and members of each team take turns walking or running. Participants and survivors celebrate the obstacles they’ve overcome in the face of cancer and remember those lost to the disease.
