Embrace Our Heroes This Veterans Day and Beyond

Quoting Calvin Coolidge nearly a century ago;

“The nation which forgets its defenders will itself be forgotten”.

This quote is particularly timely as the threats to our freedom and way of life continue to mount around the globe. We can neither forget nor turn our backs on our heroes in need.

On Veterans Day, November 11, our country celebrates and honors the service of the United States military Veterans and their extraordinary service to our country. Through the Carrington Charitable Foundation, all of the Carrington Companies strive to support the military servicemen and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our country's freedom, a key element of the company’s core philosophy.

With the help of our partners and donors, the Carrington Charitable Foundation continues to enhance our efforts to help America’s most seriously wounded Veterans and their families. The Foundation and the Carrington Companies have dedicated resources to building “adaptive” homes, as well as providing free air transport when needed. In the past two years, eleven homes have been donated and built with another fifteen in progress, restoring elements of independence and dignity to those severely wounded Veterans by recreating a complete and functional family environment. Countless flights have transported our severely wounded Veterans to and from treatment centers and family events making life just a bit easier for our deserving heroes.

Carrington Charitable Foundation’s work with America’s Veterans has now become the cornerstone of the Carrington Companies’ DNA and serves as an example that we hope will be emulated by other communities and businesses across the country.

We would like to thank all Carrington Associates who have served our country, supported family members who have served, or have suffered the sacrifice of losing a loved one to protect our freedom.
