Erika Ellis Runs Relay For Life
On May 14-15, 2016, Carrington Associate Erika Ellis will be part of a team walking under the stars for the Relay for Life, which helps the American Cancer Society fight the nation’s biggest health concern. Erika (pictured above at center with her mother and sister), a real estate agent for Carrington Real Estate Services, will walk as part of the FMS (Fontana Middle School) Trojans team. The 24-hour event takes place at Summit High School in Fontana, CA, from 9 a.m. on May 14 until 9 a.m. the next morning. The FMS Trojans will have walkers participating every hour during the entire 24 hours of the event. Erika’s mother and sister will be there, too, walking during the May 14 night shift sometime between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
The FMS Trojans team captain is Jean Zimmer, a two-time cancer survivor, and this event is near and dear to her heart. Erika’s mom worked as an aide in Jean’s classroom, and was there to help Jean through at least one of her cancer events. Erika and the FMS Trojans team are trying to raise $3,416, and at press time they had raised $2,263. Like to join the cause? You’ll find the FMS Trojans team page here.
