First Quarter Grants 2014
Each quarter, Carrington Charitable Foundation makes monetary grants to charitable causes that reflect the interests of Carrington Associates. Here are the grants that were made from January, February and March (Q1) of 2014:
Makeawish
A $5,000 grant was directed to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Make-A-Wish grants wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Carrington’s Rob Petruska from Fishers, Indiana, brought this cause to CCF’s attention and shared the impact this foundation has made on his family. He shares:
“My family came to fully understand the impact of Make-A-Wish foundation last fall when our son was granted his wish. After battling cancer treatments the first three months of his senior year, he received his wish to make a visit to Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin and meet his favorite players. Our trip was absolutely first class and planned perfectly by the Make-A-Wish crew. This was such a wonderful weekend not only for our son, but for our entire family. After experiencing the tough few months, this trip was much appreciated. Seeing not only our son, but our daughter who enjoyed all the fun too, experience a childhood dream come true was amazing. I will continue to support the Make-A-Wish foundation and know that these great kids have an extraordinary amount of joy coming their way!” Read more about this Make-A-Wish chapter.
