March 2015 Awareness Month
CCF is raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis & Nutrition for the month of March. Take a moment to learn more about these initiatives and how they impact others across the country.
MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS (MS)
What is it?
National MS Education and Awareness Month is an effort by the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF) and affiliated groups to raise the public's awareness of Multiple Sclerosis. The goals of this campaign are to promote an understanding of the scope of this disease, and to assist those with MS in making educated decisions about their healthcare. Multiple Sclerosis interrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body and stops the body from moving. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis.
How can I get involved?
Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
