Tommy Jackson Leads Team “Carrington Jaguars” for Breast Cancer

October 22, 2015

On Saturday, October 24th, Tommy Jackson of Carrington’s Jacksonville, Florida office will be participating in the “Making Strides of Jacksonville” walk along with his son to make a difference in the fight against Breast Cancer through the American Cancer Society (ACS).

The donations from Tommy’s team will help fund breast cancer research, as well as provide free information and services for those diagnosed with the disease. More than 3.1 million Breast Cancer survivors will celebrate another birthday this year, thanks in part to teams like the Carrington Jaguars and their efforts to raise funds and awareness.

“Saving lives from Breast Cancer starts one team, one walker, and one dollar at a time,” shares Tommy. “We know that supporting the American Cancer Society will ensure that if you need someone to talk to anytime of the day or night, they’ll be there. If your friend is losing her hair from chemo, your mother needs a ride to treatment, or a loved one needs a place to stay when treatment is far from home, they will be there to help.”

According to the American Cancer Society, 1 of every 2 women who is newly diagnosed with Breast Cancer reaches out to the ACS for help. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society to continue these vital services for patients and those in need of support.
