Move-In Day for the Glenn Family
Many of you have been following the story of how Carrington House has been building a new home for the Glenn family. Well, construction is complete, and the family has officially moved in!
The Glenn family home was completed on April 14, and it was a big job. As Matt Walters, Project Manager for Carrington Development Company, tells us, the house was a complete ground-up construction.
“We demolished their existing home to design a new, custom smart home which meets the Americans with Disabilities Act and Department of Veterans Affairs guidelines,” Matt says. “The Glenns met with the architect, who assisted them during the design phase, and they had complete control over the floorplan they created.”
But construction wasn’t without challenges. Changes needed to be made to stay within budget, and there were some design concerns, but the Carrington House team managed those details handily, and created a home the Glenn family is proud to call their own.
“They were floored,” Matt shares, noting that the Glenns were present throughout construction to share their enthusiasm. “They have been showing up constantly to see progress throughout the home build and speaking with all of the contractors. It seems they were extremely excited and happy throughout the entire process.”
Ultimately, the move-in was a complete success – and Matt even joined the Glenns to help them with their move.
“All furniture has been delivered, and their things have been moved in,” he says. “I think the big plans moving forward are to settle in and care for their two children, Meghan and Wyatt.”
Congratulations to the Glenn family on their new home! We wish them all the best, and we’re so proud to have been a part of creating a space that’s all their own.
